Book of the Week: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl Greg Gaines hates high school--Benson High Schoolis divided into groups, and, when involoved in a group, you mustn't leave that group unless you want to be groupLESS. Now, Greg is a member of every group except the groupless. So while being a senior at Benson, he and his friend make "mediocre films" (As the back of the book states) to pass the time. This hobby had started years earlier. Anyway, one day Greg's mother finds out that one of Greg's friends, Rachel, has leukemia and sendsgreg's movies. him over to her house to make er happy and cheer her up. And, surpisingly, she has a fascination with Earl and Greg's movies. And then...well...you can probably figure out what happens, as the title is literally giving it away. Extras: There is a movie based on this move, but I don't know what it is like because I haven't seen it (Very rarely do I see movies in the theater).
