Since You've Been Gone, by Morgan Matson Sloane brought Emily out of her shell; made her confident, made her happier. But then, after 2 years of best friendship, she disappears, leaving Emily with a list of 13 things to do that are completely out of Emily's comfort zone. Then, she must find Sloane and tell her all about it. Some of the things are easy: Apple picking at night, dancing until dawn. And some are a bit of a challenge: Kiss a stranger? Go skinny-dipping? So, Emily doesn't have the summer she expected (especially when Frank Porter gets involved), but can this list help her find Sloane, her best friend? I love contemporary novels, because I feel like they can relate to me. This book was pretty good, but it took me a while to read because the chapter length intimidated me. There was legit like a 60-paged chapter. And then there was a 3-paged one. Bi-polar much? (Just kidding😂) but all in all, it was a good book. 4/5⭐️ PS Guys, this pic is from my Instagram, completely taken with my phone. I finally figured out how to upload them, thank goodness. It took long enough!
